Learning systems and learning paths in sustainability transitions

Scholars have stressed the need to better understand role of learning in sustainability transitions. Even though progress has been made, there is a call for more research, both form large-scale empirical studies and theoretical clarity. Based on pragmatic theory, this paper responds by presenting results an study within context European multi-level transition-oriented project. Following analysis project, concept system proposed as innovation, question how most effectively facilitate transitions rephrased such best designed. Moreover, term “learning path” introduced describe individuals or groups maneuver system. We argue that maneuvering, focus needs be directed at perceived actors relative challenges they are experiencing. Finally, article discusses improve transition projects points potential value using concepts systems paths doing so.
